Additional Info

We'll be sketching and painting from nature, using pencil, pen and watercolor.  Learn new skills or develop ones you already have.  Roxanne Steed will show you how to simplify what you see and teach basic drawing and quick intuitive watercolor techniques.  Enhance your creativity, observe nature, record the day and enjoy the meditative qualities of sketching and painting with watercolor.

Materials you'll need to bring:

-pencil, eraser

-watercolor brush

-watercolor sketchbook/journal (regular paper will buckle- make sure it's watercolor or 'multi-media for washes')

-water bottle (for you to drink and for your paints) as well as a small squirt bottle to wet your pan paints

-small container for rinsing

-**camp chair or stool to sit on outside

-**bug spray (just in case)

-sunscreen (always)

- hat with a brim (super important, so you can see without retinal fatigue!)
