Creativity Heals; Joy Starts with a Few Brushstrokes

One of my absolute favorite things to do…hang out in my garden and paint!

One of my absolute favorite things to do…hang out in my garden and paint!

Most people think of me as a happy-go-lucky, cheerful, hard-working person. Usually I am. But a long while back I was in quite a low place, that I thought I’d never climb out of. What finally got me out? Painting….and the encouragement of a couple of artist friends at that time.

I’m grateful to have ‘made the newspaper’ today in an interview with Emma Palzere-Rae of our local Times paper. She does a good job telling my story, so I hope you’ll follow the link and have a read, Creativity Heals.

f you’ve ever pondered the thought, “I wish I could paint” , allow yourself to go a little further. Quit squelching the desire! You DO have the capacity to learn this, and enjoy it immensely! Many of my students who start out a bit on the timid side, are quite surprised when they are “swept- off- their- feet-obsessed” with the fun of watercolor. With some direction and gentle guidance you can be enjoying this, and finding a new way of your own to express yourself!
